Don't take our

Encouraging Words from our Village

Using her extraordinary learning support knowledge, Sue designed programs to meet the needs of the most needy students. She assisted with the running of the Learning Support Team and managed complex cases, achieving positive outcomes. In the classroom, Sue built incredible rapport with students and engaged the most challenging and needy students in her groups. Sue has worked with students in comprehensive, highly valued transition to high school programs, with student data showing positive impact. Sue engaged and trained parents to assist in the delivery of support programs ensuring that the maximum number of students could receive assistance. Sue has also taken on a pastoral care role in the Counsellor's absence. Her genuine caring nature and insight into students' needs and emotions, along with her ability to liaise with families, has been a huge asset.

My Daughter and Son's bright future has been made possible by Sue Trenfield. Sue's hard work, determination and specialised knowledge and experience, along with and probably most importantly, Sue's caring nature have helped not only my children but also both my husband and myself. This support started in the primary school years, continued to high school and now into tertiary education and the workforce. Sue has not only provided appropriate educational programs to help support my children - from helping the children recognise letters, sounds and numbers through to reading and understanding chapter books and complex mathematical concepts - but for me Sue has been a source of invaluable support and encouragement. Sue attended many Individual Education Plan meetings at my children's school. Without Sue's help, support, guidance, knowledge and unwavering belief in my children, our family wouldn't have made a successful transition to tertiary education and work. Sue has been more than an advocate but a champion for our children who learn differently. Sue is a gifted educational consultant and I am privileged and fortunate to have Sue be an advocate for not only my children but also ultimately our family. Sue is plain and simply, the best; I cannot say enough great things about Sue. We have grown to love Sue and we still rely on her for advice and help.

My daughter Isabel 13, started working with Sue Trenfield last year. After years of not getting anywhere at school, struggling to read, write and understand anything, Isabel had given up. Her learning disabilities made her unable to learn in a school environment. We tried all types of therapy but nothing helped until Sue. I began home schooling Isabel last year and working with Sue. She helps work out all Isabel's programs and focuses in sessions on Maths and English. The change in Isabel is amazing, she is understanding and learning. After one year of working with Sue the progress is more than I could have ever imagined. Not only is my little girl learning, she is enjoying it and loves working with Sue. Sue is always looking at what works and different ways to help Isabel understand. Sue is an answer to my prayers and has changed Isabel's life and future.

Sue is one of the most gifted people to work with children that I have ever met. Sue generously offers uncommonly wise and practical advice for such a huge array of problems, all given with her graceful and gentle manner. She is talented at discerning the root of the issue and offers meaningful, workable, real life solutions. She is exceedingly encouraging and sincere in her care for children and parents alike. While Sue may need to discuss difficult truths, she is still able to leave you feeling positive, hopeful and inspired. My family is thriving and much of that is due to Sue Trenfield and the help she has given us.

Sue is one of the most gorgeous, caring, loving individuals I have come across. Sue has been working with our daughter, who has learning difficulties, over the past year. She was able to provide a customised reading program targeted at our daughters needs. With Sue's help I was able to implement this at home.Within a few months my child has made a huge progress in her reading fluency such as her reading speed, accuracy, and comprehension. What I love about Sue is that she is so loving and encouraging that my daughter is always willing to do the work Sue has set and eagerly awaits to see her. As a parent Sue has also helped me understand our child's learning difficulties and daily struggles in learning. I found Sue's guidance, encouragement, and  wealth of knowledge a huge help. She has been equipping me so that I can teach my child. We are so thankful we met her, and consider it a huge blessing to have her in our life. We look forward to working with Sue on the other areas of our child's learning needs. Before I met Sue we were going around in circles trying to find a solution to our daughters learning issues without much success. Since meeting her she has helped us to have a clearer understanding by helping us identify the real issues and provide a structure and program that has shown results where others haven't.
